care teams
In traditional treatments, families often have to do the work of assembling their providers. At Equip, each patient is automatically matched with a multidisciplinary care team that best addresses their unique needs, such as:
Oversees medical stability, complications, and medications
Guides patients through renourishment and new eating habits
Helps patients work through challenges, develop coping skills, and identify triggers
Builds trust with patients and serve as a motivating example that recovery is possible
Provides ongoing guidance and support specifically for the patient’s loved ones involved in treatment.

The importance of nutritionOne of the most clinically important goals in eating disorder recovery is maintaining regular, adequate nutrition. At Equip, providers design tailored nutritional goals based on each patient’s needs — this may look like incorporating meal support groups into treatment or coaching families to supervise and structure meals and snacks.

At Equip, each patient’s schedule of groups is tailored to their needs, preserving time for them to connect with their real-world lives and community. We also put special focus on providing groups for patients’ loved ones to build their own support systems.
